The Horse Trust and Home of Rest for Horses lies in the Chiltern
Hills between High Wycombe and Aylesbury, just outside Princes
Risborough. Set in some 120 acres with purpose-built stables and
accommodation for over 125 residents they aim to provide the best of
care and retirement.

The Horse Trust do not charge for admission, but they would welcome a donation from you to help with the cost of looking after the horses.
Opening hours:
The Home is open to the public every day from 2pm until 4pm. they are
closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day.
The Home will also be closed on the day of the Society's Annual General
Meeting.
No Feeding: carrots or polo mints must not be fed to the horses, ponies
or donkeys. The Horse Trust operates a "No Feeding Policy".
Parking: there is limited car parking at The Home. During Summer months
(when it is dry enough) an additional car park is opened at the entrance
to The Home. Disabled, elderly people who do not feel able to make the
walk to the stables (less than a 1/4 of a mile) can still bring their
cars up to the stables.
Dogs: are welcome, providing they are kept on a lead at all times and
are comfortable with horses. Coaches: by appointment only and on week
days.
Visitor Centre: The stable block also includes a Visitors Centre which
will give you a flavour of the history of The Home, along with displays
aimed at promoting responsible horse ownership. If you have any

How to find the Horse Trust
Directions from M40
Leave M40 at junction 4 and follow the A4010 towards Aylesbury.
Stay on this road until you reach the Red Lion public house where you
turn right, signposted Walters Ash, (you will see a brown sign for The
Home). At the top of the hill turn left, pass RAF High Wycombe on the
left, and in approximately half a mile turn right into Slad Lane. The
Home is the first right about 100 yards along.
Directions from High Wycombe
Take the A40 towards West Wycombe, turning onto the A4010 signposted
Aylesbury at a roundabout. Stay on this road until you reach the Red
Lion public house where you turn right, signposted Walters Ash, (you
will see a brown sign for The Home). At the top of the hill turn left,
pass RAF High Wycombe on the left, and in approximately half a mile turn
right into Slad Lane. The Home is the first right about 100 yards along.
Directions from Princes Risborough
Take the A4010 towards High Wycombe. Just on the outskirts of Princes
Risborough there is a crossroads. Take the left turn into Woodway,
signposted Lacey Green/ Naphill. Follow this road along and up a steep
windy hill into Lacey Green. Once through the village the road opens up
into a long straight. About 300 yards along there is a crossroads with a
bus stop on either side. Turn left into Slad Lane. The Home is the first
right about 100 yards along
