Coping
with Hemiplegia in the school environment
I use different aids to help me
work better. I have a special ruler, which is easier to hold and helps
me to draw straighter lines and improve my drawing in art. All my
friends think my ruler is brilliant and very cute as it is in the shape
of a little crocodile!
I also use Stetro pencil grips, which I use to steady my hand when I
write. Sometimes my books slip about too, and that’s why I have a non –
slip Dychem non-slip mat to use, so I can keep my work steady, because
otherwise I can’t hold my books down properly with my left hand. All
these aids help me do better in school with work.
